What happens first?

How joining Little Acorns works, from first call to first day

Step 2

You visit the setting and meet the team

We invite you to spend time with us on a normal day. You will see the woodland site, meet the practitioners and watch how a session runs from start to finish.

Step 3

You complete the registration and share what we need

You fill in the registration forms and tell us about your child's routines, allergies and any additional needs. We agree a start date and a settling-in plan with you.

Step 4

Your child settles in and starts their sessions

Your child begins with shorter visits and builds up to their full sessions. You receive updates each day, so you always know how they are getting on.

Before you write

What sending an enquiry means

Three things worth knowing before you type anything.

No obligation

An enquiry is a question, not a commitment. Read the answer, and take it no further if it is not for you.

  • We do not offer overnight care or any care outside our published session times.
  • We do not provide one-to-one support for children with complex medical needs requiring continuous nursing care.
  • We do not take children under the age of two, as our woodland site is set up for older nursery children.
  • We do not run holiday clubs or drop-off sessions for school-aged children during the school holidays.
